VHS Summer Workshop in the Green: Painting in the Open Air - Plein Air Painting

You will learn the differences between Breton galettes made from buckwheat flour and the later crêpes made from wheat flour. You will make both doughs with lots of information about the ingredients and tips on how to prepare them. You will get to know and practice the traditional technique of turning and frying with the associated tools on professional crêpe irons. For the continuation at home, you will get useful tips for preparation in the pan. You will prepare a vegetarian savory and a sweet topping. With other ingredients available, you can create your personal Breton taste experiences!

Making paper is an ancient, fascinating craft. In this two-day workshop, we want to introduce you to the basics of papermaking. There will be a bit of theory and a lot of practical work. Paper can be produced very easily and sustainably and can also be made at home with a few tools. You can design it very individually. We make the paper pulp with materials from our direct environment, which we process further: in addition to recycling paper, we use materials from the kitchen, garden and nature to make, for example, grass, coffee, flower and many other great papers. During the workshop, we will work through all the steps of papermaking - from the pulp to the finished product
