The fifth concert in the series "Auf der Zinne - Neuer Klang!", dedicated to the work of Ruth Zechlin (1926-2007), once again offers fascinating insights into the sonic universe of this significant composer. The program features her enchanting solo compositions "Orpheus" for Organ (1975) and "An Aphrodite" for Oboe (1998), as well as the 2001 work "Passauer Konzert" for Oboe and Organ. Rounding out the program are the works of two exciting contemporary composers. "Aufbruch mit und ohne Gefieder" is a virtuosic organ piece composed by Dresden-based composer Lydia Weißgerber, which she will perform herself at this concert. "Der zerbrochene Spiegel" for Organ and Organ Positive (1994/2026) is by Stefan Pohlit, who wrote the work especially for this concert. The two Hamburg concert organists Kerstin Petersen and Eberhard Lauer will premiere the piece together this evening – as a duo.
