Ears open, Hamburg! And off we go to St. Pauli! In this tour, we dive into the musical history of St. Pauli, which has small and large stories to tell throughout the ages. Our tour, which begins at the dancing towers, takes us back to the 20th century. A St. Pauli that was already a cultural place of experience back then but differs significantly from today's image. The concert hall Ludwig, later Hamburger Volksoper, celebrated great successes on the Reeperbahn with Brahms' Hungarian Dances. The model for the building was none other than the Imperial-Royal Vienna Burgtheater.
