Antes de su deportación y asesinato, el Estado nazi saqueó sistemáticamente a judíos y judías, así como a sinti y romaní. A volunteer guide will lead you through the grounds and share the history of the site. The tour begins at the main entrance (Service Point) of the memorial site and ends in the House of Remembrance. It lasts approximately two hours. Participation is free of charge, and no registration is necessary. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. The smallest building on the grounds of the concentration camp memorial is the Plattenhaus. It is open on Sundays. Coffee and tea are served here. A public tour with members of the working group for church memorial sites takes place every Sunday at 12 PM.

Individual visitors will get an initial informative overview of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site and an introduction to the history of the former concentration camp on this free public short tour. No registration required.Public short tours are offered from July 13 to August 29, 2026, Monday through Saturday at 12 PM (German) and 1:30 PM (English).
