On a walk through the picturesque cemetery, we follow the traces of its historical development, which originated from the scarcity of space and the conditions of the old inner-city cemeteries. The landscape gardening design as well as art historical aspects of burial culture are the focus of this tour through the central area of the park.

To experience the dimensions and versatility of the Park Cemetery, we ride our bikes through this varied and partly vast landscape, designed by Wilhelm Cordes and later Otto Linne. We see mausoleums, the anonymous urn field, the newly designed burial forum, the forest cemetery, the water tower, the rose garden, as well as many of the chapels.
