A widely underestimated neighborhood in Hamburg is the rather small Dulsberg, located between Barmbek and Wandsbek. It has a lot to offer, especially in terms of architecture and urban development. Thanks to the architect Fritz Schumacher and his ambitious building plans, it became - particularly between the two world wars - a significant example of modern and social housing in the metropolis, especially concerning popular meeting places such as green spaces and sports facilities.During the walk through the uniformly rebuilt and neighborly characterized district, we see the Naumann Block, pass by the Olympic base, stroll through the unique greenway, admire the special row houses of the Frank brothers, and the charming residential complexes designed by Schumacher, his Emil Krause School, as well as the Frohbotschaftskirche in the heart of the neighborhood. Furthermore, we are amazed by a church without a bell tower, a former premiere cinema, and various sculptures such as the "Dancing Women."
