At that time, vodka was not commonly used as a beverage, but rather as a medicinal substance for sterilizing wounds, numbing injuries, and cosmetic cleansing. Join us every Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM at the Tourist Information Office in the Palace of Culture and Science for an authentic journey through Warsaw’s most interesting places. The tour begins with a welcome vodka shot before you visit “Jaś i Małgosia,” a 1960s café-bar in Muranów, where you will enjoy two vodkas and hear stories about Warsaw’s communist past. Next, our 1970s-style bar in Nowa Praga offers two vodka tastings and unlimited homemade “Bimber” shots. Continue to the Polish Vodka Museum at Koneser Center (a former vodka factory), where you will taste three different Polish vodkas while learning more about Poland’s national spirit. We finish at Browary Warszawskie, a restored 19th-century brewery complex, with one final toast.
