Meeting point: Kellinghusenstraße subway station (Goernestraße exit)

The idyllic Kellinghusen Park has a long and eventful history as a former country estate, dating back to the 19th century. On this tour, we will follow the historical traces and also talk about the political lives of the last two estate residents, Hamburg mayors Kellinghusen and Schröder, as well as parliamentary debates on park design during the Weimar Republic.

At first glance, one can hardly find traces of Jewish life in Eppendorf. In the early 20th century, many young liberal Jewish families moved to Eppendorf, whose traces can still be seen today. With this tour, we want to introduce you to the former neighbors who were persecuted and murdered during the National Socialist regime.
