As part of the Night of Churches, the Neue Knabenchor Hamburg, conducted by Jens Bauditz, and the Ukrainian choir Malven, conducted by Inha Seferovska, will present a joint concert on the theme of peace. Highlights of the evening include the joint contributions of both choirs: a Ukrainian song and the Peace Song by Ingeborg Ahrenkiel, which will be performed at the end of the concert. The voices of the young singers will connect different cultural backgrounds into a musical symbol of unity, hope, and understanding. From the Elbphilharmonie to the Michel, from St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, the Neue Knabenchor Hamburg captivates the ear and travels the world musically. Founded in 1991 at the State Youth Music School Hamburg, it is now one of the most renowned boys' choirs in Northern Germany. The Ukrainian choir "MALVEN" has existed in Hamburg since June 2022, founded on the initiative of the association for German-Ukrainian cooperation e.V. "Feine Ukraine". The choir was formed at a time when many Ukrainians were fleeing the war. Pain, loss, longing for their homeland, and concern for relatives brought them together to preserve what no one can take from them – their songs and their music.

The Truth About Eve stands for honesty and humanity. Abstract and direct lyrics delve deep into the human psyche. They critically engage with Western society. The spoken word or sung melody is embedded in spherical, expansive soundscapes, alternating with funky grooves. Metrically free and modal passages stand alongside complex harmony, rhythmic shifts, and odd time signatures. Elements from Jazz, Funk, and Artpop are fused together. Eva Klimmek – Trumpet, Vocals Lennart Meyer – Vocals, Bass Aydın Bayramoğlu – Keys Johannes Kalt – Drums

Church musician Christopher Bender demonstrates in a 30-minute improvisation the extraordinary sounds that the new organ at St. Johannis-Harvestehude holds. Combined with the ethereal sounds of the connected synthesizers, he takes the audience on a special sonic journey. Christopher Bender has been working as a church musician at St. Johannis-Harvestehude since April 1, 2008. Bender received significant attention for his concert installation on Mozart's Requiem, his composition "Windlicht" (which he created with artist Thorsten Bauer), and his two 16- or 24-hour nonstop performances of Satie's "Vexation".

Johann Sebastian Bach's first cello suite stands at the beginning like a prism, from which diverse shades unfold. Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy translate this idea into a musical language that focuses on atmosphere and fleeting impressions. After the intermission, the “reimagined” Chaconne opens up a new perspective on the Baroque heritage, before Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's String Quintet op. 87 combines the dimensions of clarity, color, and movement into a multi-layered soundscape.
