Jörg BernardyOn November 20, 2026, as part of Reading Day, look forward to Jörg Bernardy at your Hugendubelbookstore in Hamburg!About the book:Modern and informative: A nonfiction book for primary school children aged 9 and over and the whole family about faith.Celebrating Christmas, observing Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or fasting during Ramadan is part of everyday life for many children. But belief can also extend beyond the major religions—to miracles, zodiac signs or life after death. This beautifully designed nonfiction book explains what faith actually means, how it is practiced today, when it can become dangerous, and what religions can do for peace. Numerous original quotes from children and warm, modern illustrations make it an inviting and multifaceted book that meets children where they are, informs them and encourages them to think about ethical questions for themselves.About the author: Dr. Jörg Bernardy is a freelance philosopher, author and speaker. For many years, he has written for publications including DIE ZEIT, given talks and workshops, and regularly philosophized on the radio (WDR) and in various podcasts. Above all, he develops and writes nonfiction books and special stories for children, young people and adults. Jörg Bernardy works for the meditation app BALLOON and helped establish the public programs of “The School of Life Berlin” throughout Germany. He loves dogs and lives in Hamburg.Register free now!
