An event in the series A Comedy. An Outrage. A Madness. - Schmidts TivoliA Comedy. An Outrage. A Madness. "No Bed for Dictators" - under this motto, the prominent NGO leader Cornelius von der Haidt, together with his wife and daughter, organizes a demonstration against the Berlin visit of the "Environmental Monster" Wohambe Wahumbe, the ruthless dictator of the state of Malumbo. Just a few hours later, the dictator himself stands at Cornelius' doorstep: He wants to thank his benefactor for helping him not only have a dignified upbringing with $50 a month but also for enabling his rise to power. Cornelius, who was unaware of his godson's background, panics: Is his life in danger? His family's? Or worse: his career? In the mirror of the evil dictator, it becomes clear that world-improver Cornelius is less tolerant and democratic than he thought. And Wohambe has some surprises in store for the family... "The $50 Dictator" is a comedy by Tommy Jaud and Moritz Netenjakob, directed by Schmidt's chief Corny Littmann.

With full physical commitment and stunning facial expressions, Starbugs Comedy produce a true firework of laughter. From young to old, no eye remains dry and the audience roars with laughter. Fabian Berger, Wassilis Reigel, and Martin Burtscher are world champions of non-verbal comedy, dancing and playing everything possible and impossible. They repeatedly surprise the audience with unexpected twists and turns. Their seemingly inexhaustible creativity has an intense side effect: sore muscles from laughing. The new comedy show "SHOWTIME!" promises everything and much more. And so, the final word from the Hessische Allgemeine Zeitung is: "And there they were, ninety minutes of infantile joy for life, which one inhaled like pure oxygen - standing ovations."

An event in the Mahoin series - Somewhere in the World Somewhere in the world Mahoin is an extraordinary sailor marching band - handmade in the port of Hamburg - and combines witty, frivolous sea yarns with well-known melodies from the ports of the world and underlies them with a stomping beat and Nordic musicality. When mahoin picks up speed, it means "Let's go"! Singing, chatting, laughing and dancing on stage and in the hall. Still celebrating on the Reeperbahn at half past twelve at night? For mahoin, that's a promise! Joy of life invites you to dance. Slippery sailor's yarn meets Northern German chatter. Maritime longing kisses musicality. Brass band? Anyone can do that! mahoin - these are the musical sailors of tomorrow with the pulse of St. Pauli. When shanties meet 90s earworms and go for a drink with Hans Albers, mahoin invites you to a concert spectacle. Musical flotsam and jetsam from all over the world is fished out by helmsman Johnny and his crew, reinterpreted in a Nordic way and made danceable. When the beats pulsate and Johnny unpacks his pocket trumpet, then good mood is guaranteed! Their look, their charm, their musicality and their unique interpretation of the great songs of yesterday and today, make this concert band as maritime as it is authentic.

An event from the series Elke Winter - Just this now!Elke Winter presents her new program, which for the first time in the history of travesty does not conceal the true age of the artist and puts the evening in the service of important truths - about her luxurious body and its, ahem, interesting changes and needs. This new, radical honesty suits the show icon, because she never took a leaf out of her mouth when it came to uncomfortable truths in general or just the disgusting shirt of the man in row 5.It is therefore completely logical that she now, in this new and special phase of life, openly says what everyone thinks: getting older cannot be avoided. But - it's a big but: you can very well glide into the penultimate phase of life with dignity, style, and not without eroticism. But what does that mean concretely? Does Elke now only wear pink instead of beige? Does she stand by her physical flaws and old-fashioned views? Can she still recognize the trends in her industry and even set them herself? Does she now only wear "gagging glasses" and "cheeky bobs"? Is the ultimate solution for everything then "spraying instead of cutting"? How do best-agers kiss? And: what does Elke Winter actually do in her rare free time - making straw stars, hobby horsing, or ikebana? In any case, probably alone - most of her friends have already passed away ...Book and direction: Jan Martensen and Olaf Krüger

A Musical Chase by Martin Lingnau & Heiko Wohlgemuth Martin Lingnau and Heiko Wohlgemuth ("Heiße Ecke", "Die Königs vom Kiez", and many more) had the great pleasure and honor of bringing Otfried Preußler's children's book classic to the stage for the very first time in an entertaining musical version. At the Schmidt Theater, Carolin Spieß directs the exciting robber story with many funny ideas and lots of great music – a theatrical treat for the whole family! Oh dear! The robber Hotzenplotz steals Grandma's coffee grinder – and on her birthday, no less! Constable Dimpflmoser is clueless, as always. But the police can be helped: Kasperl and Seppel plunge headfirst into adventure to catch the robber with the seven knives. They get into perilous situations, encounter the evil wizard Petrosilius Zwackelmann and the good fairy Amaryllis. But the most important question is: Will they outsmart the robber Hotzenplotz and return the coffee grinder to Grandma? "The Robber Hotzenplotz" is a classic Kasperl story with everything that goes with it: there are heroes, villains, fairies, wizards, and a hopelessly overwhelmed constable. But in the end, good triumphs, of course. This makes "The Robber Hotzenplotz" the ideal play for theater beginners as well as old hands. Because even the grown-ups will have a lot of fun revisiting the heroes of their childhood!
