Without any pressure to perform, young and old, children and teenagers, simply everyone who enjoys running, can try out different routes at the Alstertallauf organized by the Förderverein der Jugendleichtathletik in Hamburg e.V.: Children and beginner runners start with the 1.5-kilometer taster run, while advanced and experienced runners can choose from 4, 10, and 21.0975-kilometer routes. For the youngest aspiring athletes, there is a Bambini run of 400 meters.
