Hop in and experience a very special performance on four wheels with Taxi Darko! Taxi driver Bernard Darko and his daughter, artist Zandile Darko, take the audience on a moving journey from A, meaning back then in Ghana, to B, meaning today in Hamburg. In between are memories, souvenirs, language and music, and the unheard stories of a (not so small) German community.Three tours are currently taking place as part of the fluctoplasma festival on 25 October 2026, departing from the Markk Museum at Rothenbaum.The tour is a performance by Zandile Darko & family. The artist’s CV includes international master’s degrees, scholarships and directing work. She lives in Hamburg, as has her father Bernard Darko, the taxi driver, for the past 40 years. They often jokingly address each other as Hello, Ms Darko! and Hello, Mr Darko!, but they have no shared language. He says: You have mouth but you cannot talk!German, Twi and English, taxi ride approx. 1 hour.
