Meeting point: Harburg Town Hall

Hamburg's Church Spires and Their History/ies Together with Dr. Stefan Kleineschulte from the Hamburg Monument Protection Office, we explore the history of various Hamburg church towers or church spires. We start in Harburg and end in the city center. Information will be transmitted via conference call during the tour. Therefore, a well-charged smartphone and headphones that also allow you to perceive traffic are required for participation. We charge a participation fee of €10.00. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the bank details. Upon receipt of the participation fee, the exact meeting point in Deichhausweg in Harburg will be communicated. Registration via denkmalnacht@baukunstbildung.de is possible from July 1, 2026, until September 8, 2026.

The tour leads through Harburg from 1933 to 1945, when Harburg lost its independence as a city. Participants will see the memorial plaque of the Jewish synagogue, learn interesting facts about Harburg newspapers and the Harburg theater, and visit the Jewish cemetery in Harburg. The tour ends at St. Paul's Church near the Heimfeld S-Bahn station.
