On our tour through the Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli, we explore how illegal art can become commissioned art, why academically trained artists turn to illegal art, how anonymous artists make it into museums, and how perceptions of art in public spaces have changed over recent decades. Along the way, we encounter many facets of street art: graffiti, Styro-art, stencils, paste-ups, Perler beads, tile art, and more contribute to the richness of this art form.
