Meeting point: Stephansplatz/ Corner Gorch-Fock-Wall (by the sculpture "Die Liegende")

The Planten un Blomen park has a varied history to offer: In 1713, plague victims were buried here, in 1863 the Zoological Garden opened, and the "Low German Garden Show" was followed by three International Horticultural Exhibitions in 1935. The tour deals with the various uses of the green space, although botany takes a bit of a backseat.
