Meeting point: Elbbrücken subway station (viewing platform)

Just a stone's throw from the city center, the Elbbrückenquartier is being developed as a new district that provides a good foundation for the much-promoted "jump across the Elbe." We give an overview of the development of the eastern end of the HafenCity, which will be marked by the prominent Elbtower. After a walk across the Freihafen-Elbbrücke, a different world opens up: vacant lots on the harbor island Kleiner Grasbrook, where a new neighborhood will be created, as well as the imperial Hansahafen with the harbor museum, where the impressive "Peking" has been docked since last year. Finally, we see the typical 1920s district Veddel, which receives new opportunities through the developments but is also increasingly coming into the focus of various interests.
