Meeting point: Langenhorn Nord subway station

Discover Hamburg’s quiet side: On this guided bicycle tour, we will immerse ourselves in the peaceful expanses of the Feldmark and see which bird species we can spot that day, including greylag geese, Canada geese, starlings, rooks and perhaps resting waterfowl.We will zigzag through the Hummelsbüttler Feldmark, primarily in search of greylag geese. Alongside observing them in the field, you will learn fascinating details about the greylag goose’s annual cycle and complex social life.We start at the Langenhorn Nord U1 station and finish our tour in Kiwittsmoor Park, near the Kiwittsmoor U1 station.• There is the option of using a city bike; please arrange this independently.• Feel free to bring binoculars or a spotting scope, if available.• Please do not bring dogs.• In the event of icy conditions or heavy rain, an alternative date will be announced; this could be October 10 (drizzle or cold weather will not stop us, however).Start: Langenhorn Nord subway station, Immenhöven 3, 22419 HamburgDestination: Kiwittsmoor Park (near Kiwittsmoor subway station)Distance: approx. 20 kmGuide: Merle SchlömerCost: Donations welcome
