Vocal Quintet StimmZeiten - favorite songsSimply trying things out, meeting up, starting to sing, and making music together: from this idea, "Stimmzeiten" was born. The young vocal ensemble from Hamburg consists of five passionate choir singers who were brought together in 2022 by the desire to sing through five-part choral literature in the smallest possible ensemble. After some very enjoyable rehearsals, the step into the public eye followed – several performances during church services – and now, as the next step, a concert as the ensemble's first own evening.Our concert titled "Favorite Songs" spans the wide spectrum from the clear, polyphonic sound world of the Renaissance to romantic and more recent compositions, with detours into popular music. Early music forms the core, but space is consciously left for contrasts. The abundance of fundamental human themes – love, faith, transience, comfort, joy of life – finds its place.
