City Walks
The City Nord was of great importance for Hamburg's urban development. Corporate headquarters and apartments were to be built in a park-like landscape, where pedestrians could move undisturbed by car traffic. But the "forward-looking model city" of the 1960s is now being fundamentally redesigned.
On our tour, we will follow the pedestrian walkways and present the Shell building, the former Hoechst headquarters, the "Ipanema" quarter, the former HEW building by Arne Jacobsen, as well as the Oval Office and the newly completed neighboring residential quarter Pergolenviertel.
