U-Bahnhof Mundsburg

Between Hamburger Straße and Osterbekkanal, we explore the dense building structures of a working-class neighborhood from the Gründerzeit and the urban design of the 1950s. Some buildings from recent years and the cafés, restaurants, and shops indicate social changes and gentrification trends. Additionally, there is a neighborhood with a dense tree population and some green spaces. On the tour, we will see, among other things, the Piano Suites, the Bartholomäusbad, and a house where the "Lord of Barmbeck" used to frequent. At the end, we reach the former village square as well as the former industrial area around the Museum für Arbeit.
