The heart of the Wandsbek district around the central marketplace has a lot to offer. The Jewish cemetery, the Schimmelmann mausoleum, relics of the demolished Wandsbek Castle, and monuments for M. Claudius tell the story of an independent city. During the city tour, we also see attractive new development areas in a central location. Furthermore, the tour covers Heinrich Rantzau, who laid the economic foundation for Wandsbek, as well as the lucrative triangular and slave trade.
