Revisiting Futur in Utopian Dreams - daily except Monday 4-7 PM Opening Sept 24, 8 PMat WestwerkThe Futur Collective offers an insight into the diverse festival program from 9 editions of FUTUR Festival through an installation of film and photographic documents, objects, costumes, and posters. From early experiments in the Parallelwelt, the Gartenkunstnetz, and other unusual locations in the city, to the adventurous Strandkorbkino with film screenings and live performances on the Elbstrand, the non-linear history of this small, anarchic avant-garde festival for lovers of movement, film, and performance art is told.In the spatial installation of 9 media stations, the festival's history comes alive and is recontextualized in a daily changing supporting program of live performances and film screenings with guest artists.FUTUR understands cinematic documentation as a rediscovery of the past and simultaneously as research into the future.For the opening, there will be a live performance by the Polish-German performance and film artist Mariola Brillowska on the WESTWERK stage and spontaneous performance re-enactments in the exhibition space by members of the Futur team.For the opening, there will be a sound and live performance on the WESTWERK stage.FUTUR Team: Rasmus Gerlach, Birgit Dunkel, Irmela Kästner, Johannes Lothar Schröder, Maruta Müller
