What to expect
Treblinka Memorial
After departing from Warsaw, we drive for approximately 1.5 hours through the peaceful forests where the former Nazi death camp Treblinka II once stood. At the memorial site, you will learn more about Operation Reinhard, the deadliest phase of the Holocaust, during which around 800,000 people were murdered here. Along the symbolic path representing the railway ramp where deportation trains arrived, we reach the main monument dedicated to the victims. You will see the large cracked granite monument and hundreds of stones representing Jewish communities destroyed during the Holocaust. Throughout the visit, we discuss the stories of prisoners, survivors, and perpetrators, as well as the prisoners' uprising in August 1943, which contributed to the camp's closure.
