Description
This is an extended option for the Warsaw city tour.
After the Warsaw city tour (where you admire palaces and pavilions, drive along the Royal Route, walk through the Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and see the houses where Madame Curie was born and where Chopin lived), and after lunch, we drive to the outskirts of Warsaw to visit the interior of Wilanów Palace, built in the 17th century by King Sobieski, who defeated the Turks in the Battle of Vienna. Later owned by noble families, the palace became one of the very first museums in Poland.
This magnificent Baroque palace (often called the Polish Versailles) survived all the wars, so you can still see its original interior and stroll through its charming English- and Italian-style park.

Warsaw Barbican (Barbakan Warszawski)
Before you arrive there, you will see the Royal Route on the way, leading into the Old Town, which was completely destroyed during World War II but carefully rebuilt according to its original historic design.

Warsaw Ghetto
You will see the site where almost half a million Jews were held in isolation between 1940 and 1943. It now features the Rappaport Monument, dedicated to the heroes of the ghetto, and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, called Polin, which presents centuries of coexistence between Christians and Jews, as well as the Umschlagplatz, from which 300,000 Jews were deported to the Treblinka extermination camp.

Wilanow Palace
This is one of the few palaces to have survived all wars since it was built at the end of the 17th century. Compared with Versailles, it is a magnificent Baroque residence of King Jan Sobieski, who was widely known for defeating the Turks at the Battle of Vienna in 1683 and was hailed as the "Savior of Vienna." The palace soon became the first art museum to be opened to the public. It is surrounded by a picturesque park featuring various historic styles.
