They arrived in Krakow in the 11th century and accounted for over 25% of the city’s population when World War II broke out. Few managed to survive the Nazi extermination, but their religious and cultural achievements can still be admired in Kazimierz, one of Krakow’s districts where the Jewish quarter was located. We will visit Krakow starting from the historic Old Town. We will see the charming Main Square and slowly make our way to Wawel Hill to see the medieval castle towering over Krakow. From there, we will go to Kazimierz to explore its Jewish heritage. There, we will have lunch in one of the many cozy cafés. Finally, we will visit the museum in the former factory of Oskar Schindler, who saved over 1,000 people from being sent to extermination camps during the war.

This is the best tour for individual visitors and small groups (1–3 people) who have one day available and would like to visit Krakow. Our tour begins in Warsaw. In the morning, take a first-class train to Krakow. After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, meet our guide at Krakow Glowny railway station. The walking tour of Krakow lasts 3 hours. First, you will go to the Main Square, where Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), the Barbican fortifications and St. Mary's Church are located. You will then walk along the historic Grodzka Street, one of the oldest in Krakow. It was part of the Royal Route. At the end of the street, you will see Wawel Hill with its royal castle. You will visit Wawel Cathedral. Afterwards, you will also see Collegium Maius, the oldest Gothic building of Jagiellonian University, dating from the 15th century. After the walking tour, you will have time for lunch and souvenirs. In the late afternoon, take the train back to Warsaw.
